The Brown Dog has friends with Wrangler YJs from the late 80s who have experienced a sagging motor mount. This is why we engineered these replacement motor mounts for extreme strength. You'll find these mounts a serious upgrade from most after-market mounts, too.
High Performance Design.
We use steel and feature double-weld joints to provide the most strength possible. And, just to make sure, we periodically pull a set of mounts off the shelf and put them through our 20-Ton Press Test. We have yet to see a Brown Dog MM or MML with a structural failure.
Featuring Classic Polyurethane Bushings.
Installation Notes
Mounts bolt directly to the pylons, in the identical position of the stock mounts. Engine remains in stock position. Carefully inspect engine bracket for any excess wear, especially cracks. These motor mounts are significanly stronger than the originals so your brackets need to be in good shape.

Fits Jeep vehicles below with engine bracket opening* between 2.75 and 3.25".

*Measure between bracket arms where the bracket and mount meet.
* Note: If using original Jeep motor mounts, both motor mounts will need to be replaced with a pair of TJ (not YJ) motor mounts or a pair of Brown Dog motor mounts. On YJ, carefully inspect the "cradle" holding the right motor mount for cracks or other signs of wear. (Cradle is squeezed between pylon and motor mount on driver side only.) If this part needs replaced, order Brown Dog part number CR2569. TJ 2.5/2.4 do not have this cradle. |
