Clayton Off Road skid plates are the ultimate in off road skid plate protection. This skid plate is a 2 piece design. The cradle is laser cut from 3/16 metal and bolts into the OEM frame rail locations. This holds up the transmission reusing the stock mount and bolts. Once this cradle is bolted up, the 1/4 flat skid bolts to the cradle using counter sunk allen head bolts. This gives you a completely smooth surface to easily slide over any obstacle in your way. Servicing your drivetrain is now also easier, by simply removing the skid plate while the cradle will keep the drivetrain in its proper location. This skid plate will fit on any stock Jeep Wrangler TJs, and works perfectly with the Clayton Offroad long arm suspension as well.

• Any Rubicon model does REQUIRE a 1 inch body lift. On 2003-2006 models you will gain approximately 1.5 inches of clearance, and on 1997-2002 models approximately .5 inches.
